Edgar Allen Poe Facts

Edgar Allan Poe was accepted into Virginia University at the age of seventeen. First year he managed to gamble all his scholarship money. This addiction led to alcoholism. Due to this it is reported that Poe would appear drunk to class and even examinations. The odd part is that he would finish with the highest grades in his class and was the best student of his generation, EVEN WHILE BEING DRUNK!
I knew he was drunk when he wrote his stories (that why there so bizzare) but also when he went to shcool that insane not to mention the fact he still was top of his class.
